Some thoughts of online teaching in universities today - case study of Marxist-Leninist subjects

Abstract: The outbreak and complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic over the past 2 years has dramatically changed teaching activities of many universities. Making the most of digital platforms in the era of science and technology development to organize online teaching in schools is not only becoming popular but also redirecting teaching methods to show flexible adaptation in modern education. Assessing the current situation of online teaching is of profound importance to make appropriate adjustments to ensure teaching quality. Thereby, schools can promote the strengths of this teaching method for the stability and development of education and training at present and in the future. This article focuses on researching and surveying the current status of teaching Marxist-Leninist subjects online at universities, thereby identifying its existing achievements and proposing some fundamental solutions to organize online teaching in universities more effectively and with higher quality.

Abstract: During the development process, the philosophy has been shaped and developed, imbued with the guidelines and strategies for training and fostering cadres of the Party and State as well as in accordance with learners and specific conditions of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) throughout historical periods. The article gives an overview of the HCMA's philosophy of training and fostering in recent years. Moreover, it proposes some recommendations to thoroughly grasp this philosophy in HCMA training and fostering programs today.

Abstract: Developing and nurturing the personality of university students is a core issue in the comprehensive reform of education and training. Personality plays a significant role in the development of each student and the Vietnamese society as a whole, especially in nurturing high-quality resources during the Fourth Industrial Revolution and to successfully implement the renovation campaign initiated and led by our Party. Abstract: (LLCT&TT) Credit-based training is a method of organizing training for each module, allowing students to accumulate credits of each module and implement a training program according to their individual studying plan in accordance with the plan of the training institution. For Vietnam, this is a new training method, replacing the previous year-based one. The Ministry of Education and Training officially required universities and colleges to switch to credit-based training from the 2009-2010 school year. After more than 10 years of implementation, the method has proved its superiority, efficiency and modernity compared to the year-based training method. However, the newness brings with it difficulties, challenges and limitations that need to be overcome. The article contributes to giving a more comprehensive view theoretically and practically in order to further improve the quality and effectiveness of credit-based training methods in higher education institutions in our country today.

Abstract: Vietnam's higher education has been deeply integrating to better adapt to the rapid changes of the times. In that context, the policy of university autonomy issued by the Party and State is considered a top priority, in line with the development of the global education system. However, while the University Council is very popular in Western countries, the application of this model in Vietnam still faces many difficulties despite having specific regulations in the law. This article is aimed at identifying models of University Councils in some countries and pointing out the difficulties for universities in Vietnam when implementing this new governance model.
